Sonography of the Extra- and Intracranial Arteries

This six-week course introduces the generalist sonographer to vascular sonography of the arteries of the neck. At the end of this course, students will be able to explain the examination procedures and associated pathologies for the common, internal, and external carotid arteries, the vertebral, subclavian, and intracranial arteries.  

Ultrasound for Venous Insufficiency

This course introduces the generalist sonographer to vascular sonography for venous insufficiency. At the end of this course, you will be able to explain the etiology, imaging requirements, and treatment of venous insufficiency in the lower extremities.

Ultrasound Physics

This 6-week, online course will provide the student with the tools and resources to perform ultrasound examinations with Doppler. The student will review basic ultrasound physics and then focus on Doppler physics.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound - Shoulder

This course will provide the student with an introduction to musculoskeletal ultrasound of the shoulder. Topics include: anatomy of the shoulder, imaging techniques, and anomalous and pathological conditions.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound - Elbow

This online course will provide the student with the tools and resources to perform a musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound of the elbow. The student will describe the anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and ultrasound imaging parameters of the elbow joint. The student will critique both normal and abnormal images to ensure a diagnostic examination.

This online course will provide the student with the tools and resources to perform a musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound of the knee. The student will describe the anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and ultrasound imaging parameters of the knee joint.
